Chase

Nick and Peri love to play "chase". It really involves Chris or I running around carrying Peri and trying to catch Nick. But the kids love it just the same.

Big Boy

Guess who graduates from pre-school next month? Nick!!! His school asked for a slide show of photos from age 0-5 yrs, which we slaved over this weekend. Nick didn't want me to put any photos of him as a baby because "the kids will laugh at me".

Uh, no because they'll all have their baby photos up there. Also funny to see what little kids are shy about. Peeing in front of everyone - no biggie! Picking your nose in public? It's cool. Showing baby photos to my class? No way!

BTW - I'm still having a hard time seeing Peri in Nick's face.

Ice Cream Baby

Baby likes ice cream! (uh, yeah).

Baby wants more ice cream!

Don't ask about the hair - it's calmed down since then. And yes, that's aWeiner Mobile she's driving.

Baptism

Little Peri got baptized last weekend. Lots of fun with friends and family in the house. I'll try to get photos from my mom from the Nerf battle. See, having all those guns in the house paid off! Also trying to get some better photos of the baptism from someone. But got these off of Nick's camera.

Clapping

Guess who learned how to clap, crawl (almost - more like rocking on all fours) and got a tooth all in one weekend?! Then came down with a mean cold that knocked her out for a week.

Btw - Chris is not ignoring Nick in the background. He was simply cutting the grass and couldn't hear Nick. Silly boy.

T-Ball

Nick had his first t-ball game this weekend. Too bad the first t-ball game was on an insanely cold day in May! We sat in our folding chairs, shivered, and cheered for the Mets! Nick is number 11, so we all held up our two index fingers to show him we were rooting for him. Nick got to third base and was absolutely shivering. I tried to give him some hot tea, but no go. “I want to go home.” Uh, no kid. That’s not how it works.

The second time he got a hit, I saw him dancing on 2^nd base. Was he doing the baseball crotch grab? Nope. He made it to third and I told him “as soon as you get to home, I’ll get you to the bathroom”. Not sure who was colder, Nick or Pop-Pop.

Easter

I know, Easter was weeks ago. But I just found these photos on my camera...

This one of Nick helping Peri because she's fussing just melts my heart. He's so gentle with her. (Unless they're wrestling).

Making baby laugh

No one is better at making baby laugh than Nick. She adores him. We were outside where he was reenacting a Scooby-Doo episode for me. He was showing me how the caveman walked and Peri lost it. Took me a while to grab the camera, but still got some laughs.
